Breaking up with media queries and whether or not to use Flexbox

In State of the Art JavaScript in 2016 Francois says something easy to miss, but very insightful and important to the state of the JS community: "The good news is the ecosystem is starting to slow down. Projects are merging. Best practices are starting to become clear. People are building on top of existing stuff instead of building new frameworks." If true, that's progress and means that a new wave of JS libraries, maturity, and standards will be set in the community. It'd be great to get the open-source JS libraries away from the comparison to WordPress plugins that you add and rip apart your install.
